Spread the light and smile

Today I went to Coimbra

My fish oil was finished and I needed it

It’s a hot day so I went early morning
My goal was to get the oil and have sushi as a lunch
On my way upstairs I looked into Punto Rama 😜 to see if I could find a nice belt for me.
I’m 10 kilos less than last year and really needed a belt so I can use some of my older clothes 🤔
No belt, just one but it was far too big 🤣
So I headed to the escalator to my favourite food and on the way I passed Sacoor, the shop I never go into because last time I was there they were quite rude 😜
Inside was a beautiful coat and my favourite colour 😜. I wanted to see
Of course I am not looking for a coat, just a belt
After touching the soft warm beautiful coat there was a promotion rack and curious I looked 🤔 and found a skirt and a top which would be perfect for autumn when it gets colder
The price was unbelievable, I would never dream to buy a skirt for 175 EUR but 55 EUR was a different story and a top from 75 down to 39 was ok 😜
It took me some time to decide and the women working seriously wanted to help me and tried to find someone who spoke English 😜 I hadn’t been speaking any English, just Portuguese 😜
Finally I told them they didn’t have to speak English, I am speaking Portuguese 🤣
There was a kind of deep breath with relief and the conversation was there.
They liked my choice of colours and I was wondering if the top would cover my pacemaker 🤔
As you can imagine it became a deep contemplating but we agreed that I would be ok 😜
Then it was the paying part 😜
I’m not a customer and they wanted me to become one 😜 I agreed. It happens that the promotions are good
Then they wanted to know how to say my name which is difficult for the Portuguese
Are you English or American? No I’m not I’m Icelandic and they didn’t tell me how wonderful Iceland is 😜 thank God
When you become a customer there is a lot of information they need among others nationality and date of birth
I told the lady I’ve been living in Portugal 14 years and before that in China
Then she told me something about herself, this is a normal conversation for me and everything in Portuguese of course
There are not many who do speak English in Forum shops 🤔
This was a nice conversation and they were happy not having to be helpless with their lack of English 🌹
Well, the story was about the amazing prize I got but smiling and being ready to spread a bit of light payed off.
We can make the day better just to be friendly and that’s needed in the world now
I like to talk to people and it comes naturally to me but not everyone is like that but let’s try and at least give a smile ❤️🌹
