What is happiness?

I have been thinking about this for some time and trying to figure out what would be the road to happiness.

It does not mean I am unhappy. I am content in my own skin and at ease with my life as it is.

There are ads on the social media hammering us with the way we should be happy.

If we are overweight, we can, according to the ads, loose 15 kilos in few weeks and they put pictures before and after!

How can you loose 15 kilos in a short time and your skin is firm?

It does not make any sense but people believe it.

If you drink some miracle drink for 6 weeks your body will be perfect!

All this nonsense is pushing some people into the dept of desperation because the ads does not seem to work on them and they still have the extra weight even after weeks of trying.

In my opinion there are no quick solutions.

I don´t need to lose weight but I need to get stronger and there is no pill or drink that can help me. I need to train my body and gain muscles by hard work.

Going to the gym and walking as well makes me stronger but it is no short cut. Its work every week and for the rest of my life.

I am lucky, I can afford to have a personal trainer to help me and for me that makes the difference.

I trust him with my training and I just follow his advice.

There are many people who don´t have the same opportunity as I do but that does not mean they can’t take care of their health.

Eating healthy food is number one.

Exercise is some form every day is number two.

Walking is a good training for elderly people if they don´t want to or can´t go to a gym.

As our bodies, just like cars, need more attention to keep healthy when the years we have in our bags get more.

Looking at your car you perhaps see when it need maintenance and you take it to the mechanics and they take care of the oil, the filters, the water and so on.

The same is about the body. If you take good care of it, you are making a better health for yourself as long as you live.

If you neglect the maintenance of your body, it will not be happy with you!

Even if you have some health problems, never give up. There is always a road ahead to make life better and healthier, you just need to figure out what would be best for you.

Don´t sit down on your sofa waiting for it all to be ok on its own.

Take care of your mental health as well. Be grateful for every day when you wake up. Remember there are many who don’t have that privilege, waking up every morning.

Living your life is your responsibility.

Happiness is inside yourself, and does not depend on someone else.

Love yourself and make you happy.

If you do this your life will be meaningful and beautiful.

There are always some clouds but the sun does come out as well and shine on your effort and make you feel loved!

Live life alive!

Make the light from you shine around you and on your fellow human beings.

Chose what is best for you and then you will be able to shine on those who mean a lot to you.
