I am going to do some digging and try to put a light on how the scammers work and how they get people to believe they are for real, loving, caring persons.
I intend to write examples of how they start and how they dig deep and manipulate the person they are scamming.
I believe there is a pattern and it would be good to know.
Someone might say that this is none of my business but the truth is that I , just as anyone else, could suffer from emotional consequences from being scammed.
Some suffer from financial problems as well.
There are many ways the scammers can get hold of you.
There are dating apps, I think they are called so, and there are plain friend requests on Facebook and Instagram that can lead to people meetings.
I think the dating apps are easy to avoid.
You simply don´t attend any and they cant reach you from there.
When you get a friend request from someone on Facebook you should look carefully at the profile and see what information is there. Some do use real pictures and real data about birthday and other things although they are scammers. I think those are the most dangerous.
On Instagram there are followers, they can follow you but you get notified that you have a new follower and you should look carefully at their profile.
My advise is, don´t friend or follow anyone who you don´t recognise. Its not worth it, being scammed and used emotionally or financially.
Many scammers are quite clever and they sound true, even on video calls they can deceive you.
I am preparing some pieces where I will show the reality of how scammers can affect your live and how they manipulate you with smooth talk and pretending to care the world about you.
You might recognize some of the examples.
This is it for today but tomorrow I will begin the journey and tell you about how my friends life changed simply because she was gullible and believed the best about everyone.
See you tomorrow.
